Rubbish Junk Service Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Junk provides waste removal, rubbish clearance and related junk collection services to customers in the UK. By making a booking, confirming an order, or allowing our team to begin work, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before arranging any rubbish removal service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with a booking.
In these Terms and Conditions, references to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Rubbish Junk, and references to “you” and “your” mean the person, business, landlord, tenant, property owner, or authorised representative making the booking. These terms apply to all junk clearance and waste collection services unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Any variation to these terms will only be valid if confirmed by us in writing.
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or cancel any service request where we believe the collection cannot be completed safely, lawfully, or in line with our operating standards. This may include circumstances where the waste is not as described, access is restricted, or the materials present are outside the scope of a standard rubbish collection.

1. Booking Process
Bookings may be made by providing the relevant service details, including the type of waste, estimated volume, item description, collection address, access information, and preferred date and time. Any estimate or quotation given before the visit is based on the information supplied by you and may be revised if the actual waste, access conditions, or labour requirements differ from what was declared. A quote for waste clearance is therefore an estimate until the work begins or is inspected on site.
Once a booking is requested, we may confirm availability, proposed timing, and any assumptions relating to load size, labour, or disposal category. The booking becomes effective only when we accept it, whether verbally, electronically, or in writing. It is your responsibility to ensure that all booking details are accurate, including any parking limitations, property access codes, lift restrictions, or other operational constraints that could affect the junk removal service.
We may request photos, measurements, or additional information before confirming a job. If the items include heavy, hazardous, bulky, or mixed materials, we may require a revised quotation or refuse the booking altogether. Any agreed arrival window is approximate and may be affected by traffic, weather, legal restrictions, or previous jobs overrunning. We will use reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time, but exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed for every rubbish junk collection.

2. Service Scope and Customer Responsibilities
You must ensure that the waste to be removed is clearly identified and that all items intended for collection are accessible and ready for loading when our team arrives. If items are located in lofts, basements, gardens, outbuildings, or other areas requiring extra handling, this must be disclosed in advance. Unless agreed otherwise, our standard service covers collection, loading, and lawful disposal of accepted junk disposal items only.
Accepted and Restricted Waste
We accept many types of household, commercial, and general non-hazardous waste, subject to assessment and capacity. However, certain materials may be restricted, require special handling, or be excluded from standard rubbish clearance services. These may include hazardous substances, chemicals, asbestos, clinical waste, gas cylinders, pressurised containers, biohazards, and any material that requires specialist licensing or treatment. If restricted waste is discovered on site, we may pause the service and provide a revised quote or decline removal.
You are responsible for ensuring that no prohibited or dangerous items are mixed with the waste presented for collection unless we have specifically agreed to handle them. If undeclared restricted waste is found, additional fees may apply, and we may be unable to complete the job. Any delay, extra labour, or disposal complication caused by inaccurate descriptions may result in an amended charge for the rubbish removal service.
3. Payments
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking or before the service begins. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due immediately upon completion of the work and may be required before unloading or disposal is finalised. We may accept payment by bank transfer, card payment, or other methods notified to you in advance. We do not usually provide credit unless expressly agreed in writing for a business account or other approved arrangement.
The amount payable is based on the accepted quote, the actual volume of waste collected, the labour required, and any additional charges arising from access issues, waiting time, sorting, or disposal of items not included in the original booking. Where an estimate was provided, the final price for junk collection may differ if the collected waste exceeds the agreed allowance or if conditions change on arrival.
All prices are stated exclusive of VAT unless we say otherwise. If VAT applies, it will be added at the prevailing rate. Should payment fail, be reversed, or be disputed without lawful reason, we may suspend current or future services, recover reasonable administrative costs, and pursue outstanding sums. Title to any collected items does not pass to us until payment has been received in full for the relevant waste removal.
We may charge reasonable fees for waiting time, late cancellation, repeat attendance, aborted collections, parking charges, or disposal surcharges where these are caused by circumstances beyond our control or by information not disclosed at booking. Any invoice disputes must be raised promptly and in good faith. Undisputed amounts remain payable by the due date, even where a separate query is being investigated.

4. Cancellations, Postponements and Amendments
You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving notice within a reasonable period before the agreed service date. If you cancel after we have allocated resources, dispatched a vehicle, or incurred preparatory costs, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover our losses. The amount charged may depend on the stage at which the cancellation occurs and whether our team has already attended the location for the rubbish junk service.
If you ask us to amend the booking, such as changing the property, timing, access route, or waste description, we may need to revise the quotation or availability. We are under no obligation to accept changes that materially alter the scope of work. Where we need to reschedule due to unsafe conditions, undisclosed access issues, or legal restrictions, we will aim to offer an alternative date for the junk removal service.
If our team arrives and cannot carry out the work because the site is inaccessible, unsafe, or materially different from the information supplied, we may treat the visit as an aborted collection and charge accordingly. This includes situations where no responsible person is present to authorise the work, where the waste is not ready, or where the items differ significantly from the original description.
5. Liability
We will perform services with reasonable skill and care. However, except where prohibited by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or any damage arising from inaccurate information provided by you. We are also not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, unstable structures, or items that break due to age, poor condition, or unsuitable packaging during rubbish clearance.
Where we move items as part of our work, you must ensure that any fragile, valuable, or sentimental items are protected or removed in advance. We are not responsible for accidental damage caused by items being inadequately secured, improperly stored, or left in areas with restricted access. Our liability for direct loss or damage, where established, is limited to the amount paid for the specific junk collection job concerned, except where the law requires otherwise.
If you believe damage has occurred during our attendance, you must notify us within a reasonable time and provide supporting details, including photographs where possible. We may require access to inspect the alleged damage and may investigate the circumstances before accepting or rejecting responsibility. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

6. Waste Regulations and Environmental Compliance
We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations and disposal obligations. Waste collected under our rubbish removal and waste clearance services will be transported, transferred, and disposed of or recycled only through lawful and authorised routes. We may separate recyclable materials where appropriate and may use licensed facilities, transfer stations, or treatment sites in accordance with the law.
You must not ask us to transport or dispose of waste in a manner that would breach waste duty of care requirements, environmental legislation, or transport rules. By booking a rubbish junk service, you confirm that you have the right to transfer the waste to us and that the materials are not unlawfully abandoned, misdescribed, or contaminated beyond what was declared. You may be asked to confirm ownership, authority, or origin of the waste where necessary.
We may refuse to collect items if we suspect they are stolen, illegally deposited, or otherwise unlawful to handle. If we are required to stop work because of regulatory concerns, we may keep a record of the issue and report it where appropriate. Any waste transfer information, waste descriptions, or other compliance records may be retained for lawful business and regulatory purposes. You agree to cooperate with reasonable requests needed to complete the junk clearance lawfully.
7. Access, Health and Safety
You must provide safe and reasonable access to the collection point. This includes securing pets, clearing entry routes, ensuring adequate lighting where possible, and informing us of any known hazards such as broken glass, sharp objects, low ceilings, weight limits, or structural concerns. Our team may refuse to continue if conditions pose a risk to health, safety, or property. Any extra time spent managing avoidable hazards may be charged as part of the waste removal service.
We may wear protective equipment and take reasonable precautions to protect ourselves, you, and the property. However, you are responsible for informing us of any special site risks, including contamination, pests, restricted access, or electrical and plumbing hazards. If a job cannot proceed safely, we may leave the site and charge for time already incurred.
8. General Provisions
We may subcontract all or part of the junk removal service where appropriate, provided that the quality and lawful performance of the work is not materially reduced. Any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic disruption, accidents, industrial action, or regulatory intervention, will not amount to a breach of these terms if we take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that part will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. No delay or failure by us to enforce any right will operate as a waiver of that right. These terms contain the entire agreement between you and us regarding the relevant rubbish clearance service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from or in connection with them, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory rules require otherwise. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law provides a different mandatory forum.
By booking or accepting a rubbish junk service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Your continued use of our junk collection or waste removal services will be taken as acceptance of the current version of these terms as published or otherwise provided to you.
